Studio-Management ToolsIf you are a piano teacher, we encourage you to register and take advantage of the many time-saving and useful features that we've created just for you. You'll be able to link to your students, thus having the ability to assign each registered student a lesson time (which your student can then view when logging on) and even send them an email message from Piano Lane. You will also be able to keep a list of Favorites: books that you select time and time again for your students - so you don't have to search around the Piano Lane site every time you need something. Teachers have told us that the Favorites feature is like having your own mini-music store, saving you time and energy every time you come to Piano Lane to shop for yourself and/or your students. Selecting Music for Your Piano Students to BuyMany teachers feel that the most fabulous feature at Piano Lane is the ability to choose music for an individual student that the student may then buy for him/herself. Here's how it works:1. Click on "Register Now." You will be asked to select a username. Make a note of it because it will also serve as your Teacher Code. Then, encourage your students to register for their own Piano Lane account and give them your Teacher Code. 2. Ask your students to put your Teacher Code in the designated box as they register for their own accounts on Piano Lane. 3. As each of your students register, their names will appear in the My Studio section of your account and you will have the ability to edit some of that student's information. 4. When you find a piece of music on the site, you will have two options: Add to Cart or Add to My Lists. If you click Add to My Lists, you will be able to add that piece of music to one or more lists: My Wish List, My Favorites, and/or any of your registered students' accounts. If you choose to add that piece to a specific student's account, the next time that student logs on to My Piano Lane, the music you have selected for her is in her account, ready for her to purchase. Your Wish ListThe Wish List will help you keep track of items you find while browsing the site. You'll be able to view your Wish List and have the option of buying an item listed there with each visit to My Piano Lane. |
